Andritz has secured a contract to supply another paper machine to Austria-based Zellstoff Pöls.
In 2013, Zellstoff Pöls installed PM2 machine at the Pöls location.
At the Pöls location, the Andritz PrimeLine MG plant is said to produce MG paper for flexible packaging and release applications.
With an annual capacity of 100,000t, the PM3 machine selected by Zellstoff Pöls will involve in the production of this type of product.
The machine’s advanced design will help to produce grades with low basis weight and highest strength at best printability and smoothness levels.
Andritz’s machine is expected to be operational in the middle of this year.
Under the latest deal, Andritz will supply the entire stock preparation line and approach flow system.
Andritz vertical screw thickener will thicken the pulp with a 3% consistency between 25% and 30%.
With a diameter of 24ft, the PrimeDry MG cylinder is claimed to be the largest of its kind across the globe.
Andritz will also supply automation equipment, in addition to providing a range of services and the basic and detail engineering.
The investment will allow Zellstoff Pöls to turn as the largest producer elemental chlorine-free (ECF) sulfate pulp from bleached softwood in Central and Southeastern Europe
Andritz Pulp & Paper supplies a range of plants, systems, equipment, and comprehensive services for the production and processing of all types of pulp, paper, tissue, and cardboard.
The company offers technologies for the processing of logs, annual fibers, and waste paper, as well as production of chemical pulp, mechanical pulp, and recycled fibers.
