Netherlands-based plastic packaging supplier Weener Plastics (WP) Group has acquired Russian bottle manufacturer Artpack for undisclosed amount.
The acquisition is a part of Weener Plastics’ global expansion strategy.
Artpack is engaged in the production of plastic bottles for the personal care and home care industries.
Weener Plastics Russia general manager Yaroslav Sidorov said: "Russia is an attractive growth market for us. With the takeover of Artpack, we can further strengthen our leading position in Russia and enhance our offering of integrated plastic packaging solutions."
In 2017, Weener Plastics has acquired Brazilian firm Orange Products Plasticos (OPB) for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz of Santa Catarina, the OPB manufactures Roll-on Balls for deodorants.
Weener Plastics offers plastic packaging solutions for its customers. The company is engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of caps and closures, roll-on balls and packaging, jars and bottles for the personal care, food and beverage, as well as home care markets.
Employing more than 3,000 people, the firm operates 25 facilities in 16 countries.
Weener produces dispensing closures for food sector and personal care, as well as dispensing closures for tubes.
The company also produces nutrition caps and scoops for infant nutrition, as well as over caps and spray caps for aerosols. In addition, Weener produces jars and lids for personal care applications.
