US-based Wallace Carlson Printing has selected Electronics For Imaging’s (EFI) Midmarket Print Suite workflow software for a new era of streamlined productivity.
Wallace is using EFI Fiery digital front ends (DFEs) to manage its digital production operations.
Featuring EFI Pace as its core MIS/ERP software, the Midmarket Print Suite can be incorporated with Fiery Driven devices to manage and track both offset and digital from a single MIS/ERP platform.
The suite’s advanced planning and impositioning software component will enable Wallace to streamline flow of information for creating better production plans.
It will help the company to gather accurate cost and turnaround time details, as well as preparing more-detailed plans for the staff.
The suite also includes component for shipping management, which will help to avoid delays due to duplicate order entry processes.
Wallace Carlson Printing president Brian Turbeville said: “We went from three commercial presses last year down to just one large press, which actually opened up capacity.
“The new press is more automated, and more technologybased, with jobs getting fewer manual touches, and spending less time in the shop.”
Based in Minnetonka of Minnesota, Wallace Carlson Printing provides catalog and packaging printing products.
The company has eight-color offset perfector press with H-UV inks and Aqueous or UV coating, as well as range of finishing, mailing and other equipment.
In addition, the firm operates three digital presses such as Konica Minolta bizhub press C1100, Ricoh Pro C5100s and monochrome Ricoh 8120.
