German engineering company Voith said that it will supply Bohui Paper Group with a new board machine in China.
As per the order, Voith will build the BM4 machine at Defeng in the province of Jiangsu in China. The company will supply the complete XcelLine process line from wet end process to winder.
The new machine will lower the number of interfaces for the customer to a minimum, while reducing cost of the entire project.
Bohui Paper is claimed to have returned to Voith after placing the order for build the BM 1 and BM 3 machines back in 2003 and 2013 respectively.
Construction and installation of the machine will take place in next December. The new BM 4 will work at speeds of 1200m/min to produce folding box board with a basis weight of 250g/m2.
The BM 4’s production line offers a range of special technical features which can improve the finished paper’s quality, while reducing energy consumption. The wet section of the BM 4 comes with a new Clean Design concept that is claimed to be particularly of high runnability.
In the BM 4 machine, the Triple NipcoFlex press offers high dewatering efficiency while preserving volume and it can also achieve smooth surface on the board.
The supply scope also includes three MasterJet Pro headboxes, a DuoFormer DII, four TurboDryers, and the energy-efficient qDry Pro noncontact drying system.
Apart from this, BM 4 is also fitted with EcoCal Hard and EcoCal Soft calenders, a Sirius winding system as well as two VariFlex winders, MCS and DCS and these complete Voith Paper’s scope of delivery.
