US-based brewery D.G. Yuengling & Son has introduced revamped packaging design for its three core brands Yuengling Traditional Lager, Light Lager and Black & Tan.
The redesigned packaging, the first to be updated in nearly 30 years for Yuengling Traditional Lager packaging, is planned to be rolled out in April 2017.
As part of the packaging update, the brewery plans to re-launch Yuengling Light Lager in a blue, white and cream look to highlight its characteristics.
D.G. Yuengling & Son owner and president Dick Yuengling said: "We are excited to introduce updated packaging of our core brands which features our powerful Yuengling Eagle & Barrel icon, a proud symbol of our family owned brewery since 1829.”
The company plans to make available its Eagle packaging for Traditional Lager, Light Lager and Black & Tan on all pack types.
Yuengling added: “We are pleased with the response from our wholesalers, retailer partners and our very passionate Yuengling consumers on the new packaging designs.”
The new design of Black & Tan brand highlights the English half-and-half style that the brewery debuted over 75 years ago, Yuengling said.
Additionally, Light Lager will continue to maintain the balance of its full-flavored parent, Traditional Lager. It is brewed for only 99 calories per 12 oz.
However, Yuengling said its recipes and the taste of its core brands will remain unclanged.
