UPM Raflatac has expanded offering for industrial chemical labeling with the launch of new Synlite Xtra outdoor-resistant film.
Suitable for industrial chemical labeling applications, the lightweight and production-efficient PP-based matt film has high level of resistance which in required in challenging outdoor conditions.
Designed to offer good UV resistance, the Synlite Xtra film has good printing properties with thermal transfer and conventional printing methods.
The film is paired with UPM Raflatac’s high-tack RC77 adhesive, which is also said to offer good UV resistance as well as improved adhesion on polar and non-polar surfaces.
Designed for most demanding outdoor environments, the RC77 ensures the labels, which display critical information about container contents and any safety requirements remain firmly, in place for the life of the container.
The Synlite Xtra with RC77 complies with the requirements of Section 2 – and with selected ribbons, Section 3 – of the BS5609 standard for seawater resistance to ensure that dangerous goods transported by sea are durably labeled and identified.
UPM Raflatac EMEIA Oil and Industrial Chemical, Special Business segment manager Jouni Iiskola said: “We’re very pleased to be able to add this new film to our ever-expanding range of solutions for highly demanding applications.
“Synlite Xtra with RC77 answers our customers’ needs for a durable, reliable, and standards-compliant solution for industrial chemical labeling.”
The Synlite Xtra, as a non-PVC based film, also helps in reducing environmental impacts and provides benefits for disposal.
