UK-based label company FastLabels has purchased a new Xeikon CX3 digital label press to meet the increasing demand for labels and stickers.
FastLabels offers web-to-print labels through its FastLabels.co.uk website. It serves wide range retail, food and drink, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.
Xeikon CX3 is a five-color digital label press with a top printing speed of 30 m/minute. It offers variable substrate widths up to 330mm and provides full rotary printing.
FastLabels director Shaun Pagin said that the new Xeikon CX3’s production speed will help the firm to reduce its prices to some of the lowest in the UK while offering the highest quality print.
FastLabels has earlier upgraded its existing Xeikon 3030 to the 3300 model in a bid to increase the maximum quality print speed from 15m/min to 19.2m/min.
Pagin added: “The speed increase that the Xeikon 3300 upgrade provides is essential to our business model. It means we can print at maximum quality and still maintain a very cost-effective print speed. This brings savings in many different ways that we can pass on to our customers.
“The new press line-up will increase our label print capacity by 228%. It’s our mission to prove that low prices don’t have to sacrifice quality, and our new Xeikon CX3 together with the upgraded 3300 will help us to achieve exactly that.”
Xeikon global marketing vice-president Filip Weymans said: “The ability of the machine to be more productive, print even higher quality images, as well as use a wider range of substrates than ever before is really appealing to label printers.”
