Tekni-Plex Gallazzi is set to exhibit its latest rigid and flexible packaging materials for pharmaceutical applications at this year’s Pharmapack event in France.
The event will take place between 7 and 8 February in Paris.
At the event, the company will showcase Tekni-Films Flexapharm line of SBC ultra-high moisture and oxygen barrier PVdC thermoformable blister films, which can be used for multiple pharma packaging applications.
With enhanced oxygen barrier properties, SBC films are said to provide cost-effective moisture barrier equivalent to high-barrier grades of PCTFE (Aclar).
The company will also exhibit high-barrier PCTFE laminated solutions, as well as PVC/PVdC two and three-layered structured products at the event.
Tekni-Plex will exhibit PVC-free solutions, including TekniMD PX copolyester films that can be laminated with PCTFE.
Other PVC-free products offered by the firm include custom extrusions such as PP, PP/COC/PP, and other high barrier and multilayer coextrusion solutions.
Tekni-Films supplies of thermoformable blister barrier films, flexible films, lidding foils and pouch materials for pharmaceutical, medical, diagnostic health and personal care applications.
In October 2017, Genstar Capital acquired Tekni-Plex from American Securities for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Wayne of Pennsylvania, Tekni-Plex produces products, components and materials for healthcare, specialty packaging and food packaging applications.
Tekni-Plex has six business units – Colorite, Natvar, Tekni-Films/Gallazzi, Tri-Seal, Action Technology and Dolco Packaging.
With around 2,500 employees, the company carries out operations in Belgium, China, Costa Rica, Germany, India, Italy, Northern Ireland and the US.
