Printing inks and coatings manufacturer Sun Chemical will exhibit a range of packaging solutions at Pack Expo 2017 in the US.
The new solutions, which will be displayed at booth #S-6285, are designed to improve the pressroom activity and help brands achieve their packaging targets.
A new suite of compostable and eco-friendly inks, coatings and plates that are designed with bio-renewable resin content, will be displayed.
The Sunspectro Solvagreen flexographic and gravure solvent-based inks, which are made of natural resins and additives, are used for surface printing on biodegradable films.
The SunVisto AquaGreen water-based inks designed with resins from bio-renewable sources are used for paper packaging applications.
The Sungraphics Sunlite in-position plates are used by the flexographic printers to achieve sustainability in the process. The SunInspire inks and coatings provide metallic inks, fluorescents and phosphorescents, glitter effects, pearlescents, and frosted effects, which makes the packaging visually attractive.
Brands can also get sustainability in lightweight packaging and extended shelf life by using SunBar Aerobloc oxygen barrier coatings, which are cost-effective, compostable, and press-ready
The SunLam Monomer Free adhesives of Sun Chemical ensures food safety and enhances flexible packaging.
In partnership with Document Security Solutions (DSS), Sun Chemical has designed the AuthentiGuard technology, which ensures the authenticity of the product through a smart phone.
