Sun Chemical introduces new packaging ideas for brand owners at Interpack

Sun Chemical is displaying a range of solutions to tackle the menace of counterfeit trade at this month’s Interpack 2017 in Germany.

The solutions on display under the theme “Brighter Ideas for Packaging” by Sun Chemical and its parent company, DIC will also ensure brand security as well as the health and safety of its consumers.

Sun Chemical’s theme at Interpack will cover all the main aspects of packaging optimization in consumer protection, food waste, world of color, lightweighting and consumer experience.

As part of it, Sun Chemical will line up a range of brand protection solutions that will be overt, covert and semi-covert. They include infrared taggants integrated within spot colours or varnishes, UV responsive and infrared inks, hidden images embedded into existing packaging designs and a smartphone authentication solution.

Sun Chemical will also showcase a new near infrared-based food contaminant detection system at Interpack for the safety of consumers.

In the world of color zone, Sun Chemical will be unveiling a new version of SunColorBox, a toolbox for supporting packaging printers and converters to consistently deliver brand colors anywhere in the world, within a completely optimised digital process.
