South African flexible packaging producer firm Tropic Plastic & Packaging has commissioned a new Comexi F2 MB flexographic press to boost its production capacity.
The new Comexi F2 MB flexographic press complements Tropic Plastic & Packaging’s existing Comexi’s technologies which include Comexi FPLUS flexographic press and Comexi F2 MP press, among others.
Comexi Africa area manager Miquel Gironès said: “It is one of the largest packaging company in this country, leading in the continent and they are continuously growing, achieving the maximum capacity of our printing technologies.”
The Comexi F2 MB advanced machine is designed for short and medium runs. It shares the patented FLEXOEfficiency concepts as well as the performance and robustness of the rest of the F2 range.
Gironès added: “It is a top performance equipped flexible machine that will broaden Tropic Plastic & Packaging market, boosting its production and completing its range of machines currently available.”
Tropic Plastic & Packaging managing director Ismail Simjee said that Comexi’s aftersales service has been the main reason to continue purchasing its new machinery.

The Flexo F2 MB press has been developed based on the Comexi FW model for the shortest runs.
The press is available in printing widths ranging from 870mm to 1270mm and eight colors. It provides printing developments up to 800mm.
