Great Point Partners (GPP) portfolio firm Softbox Systems has acquired Spain-based Tempack Packaging Solutions for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Barcelona, Tempack is engaged in the development and manufacturing packaging solutions for the transportation of high value temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.
The acquisition will allow Softbox to expand its operations in Europe and Latin America, in addition to offering more packaging solutions for its customers.
Tempack offers packaging solutions, which protect the cold chain of products sensitive to temperature changes. Its packaging solutions can be used for medicines, vaccines, APIs, blood products, diagnostic tests, clinical trials, biotechnology, samples and others.
Its product solutions include cold chain packaging, biological packaging, temperature control and cold packs.
Currently, Tempack has two European offices in Spain and Germany, as well as four offices in Latin America.
The company also has offices in the UK, US, India, and Singapore.

Softbox Systems offers temperature control packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. The company has manufacturing sites across Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
