Single Source & Great British Sauce Co. Partner to Challenge UK Foodservice

Single Source Limited, the number one innovator in packaging and portions to Foodservice, has entered into a strategic alliance with quality UK sauce producer, Great British Sauce Co. (GB Sauce).

This collaboration marks a significant step for Single Source, as it moves out of its stronghold in the single serve portion packs market and works with quality-driven brands on multiple packaging formats.

An initial range of glass-packed sauces targeting front-of-house opportunities is the first of three GB Sauce formats which Single Source will bring to market.

A UK-based company, product development is a central focus at GB Sauce, dedicated to creating sauces with real depth and complexity of fresh flavours, delivering a consistent ‘homemade’ quality in everything produced. The brand has already experienced widespread success in the UK since inception in 2012, served front-of-house in Mark Sargeant’s Smokehouse and Ryan Gigg’s Café Football venture.

GB Sauce is looking to further develop the Out of Home (OOH) market together with Single Source, a partner that aligns strongly with its core ‘Always Made in Britain’ brand promise.

Paul Mainwaring, Managing Director of Single Source Limited, commented: "We are very proud of our British company status, manufacturing our products at our Midlands factory in Shropshire. This ensures total control over our production so our customers get the very best service from us. It is also part of our wider sustainability commitment."

Jason Beaumont, Managing Director of GB Sauce added: "A major key to success is delivering high quality products that set themselves apart in the market in terms of taste and value. The GB Sauce brand is all about proper taste, showcasing British creativity, style and authenticity which we know consumers want to see; data shows us that over a third of consumers claim that a made in the UK label significantly influences their choice of food & drink[1]. In Single Source we see a partner very much aligned with these values and are sure that our collaboration will be the ‘sauce’ of inspiration so needed to generate new interest in UK foodservice."
