SACMI is set to showcase its solutions for closures and containers for the beverage industry at Expo Pack Guadalajara 2017 which will be held this month in Mexico.
The Italian-based manufacturer will exhibit total integration of the cap and preform production process. Besides, it plans to introduce an integrated modular plant layout that is compatible to the Industry 4.0 principles and all the opportunities it brings about.
SACMI plans to show visitors of the packaging and processing fair its entire plant engineering and technology range. This, the manufacturer says includes a number of new products and services designed for Industry 4.0.
One of the platforms of SACMI is the heroLine beverage which focuses on total plant integration. The goal of the platform is to merge and take advantage of the company’s injection technology, its compression technology and its complete bottling lines.
SACMI stated: “While the main outlet market for cap and preform production plants still consists of converters, there is growing interest in vertically integrated solutions designed to enhance efficiency and optimise costs and logistics.
“Such solutions are often configured door-to-door, where the 'packaging' is managed by the converter at the end user's plants.”
SACMI apart from the new method of conceiving production and plant layout, also offers a new perspective on service.
Advanced on-plant sensors capable of delivering feedback in real-time on all aspects of production, line supervisors of latest-generation including SACMI H.E.R.E., High Efficiency Resource Optimizer) alongside energy consumption optimisation are a common thread running through all solutions of the group.
Also lined up for the fair are labeling, filling and secondary packaging stages, assisted by robotized handling and end-of-line solutions along with the advanced quality control systems.
