UK-based RPC has developed a new packaging solution for Soulié Restauration’s new range of ready meals.
The pack from RPC Barrier Containers is designed to resemble a traditional Tajin, providing authentic presence on shelf for Soulié Restauration’s Garbit brand.
The new Garbit range includes three mouth-watering recipes comprising Beef Kofta & Spicy Merguez Sausage; Vegetables & Dried Fruits; and Chicken, Lemon & Olives.
William Saurin product manager Camille Chatelain said: “The RPC packs are attractive, practical and maintain the quality of our ready meals.
“RPC’s fast-response through the development of the project was also a major benefit.”
RPC Bebo Plastik produced thermoformed multilayer polypropylene container which is combined with an injection moulded PP lid from RPC Bramlage, both in a warm terracotta color.
RPC said in a statement: “As well as its expertise in barrier technology, the ability to source both the container and lid from the same company was a key factor in RPC’s selection.”
In order provide effective branding, RPC embossed the lid with decorative details as well as the Garbit logo.
The lightweight, easy-to-handle pack also features layer of EVOH to provide effective protection against oxygen ingress and deliver shelf life of 18 months. It is also expected to offer maximum consumer convenience.
Soulié Restauration and RPC Barrier Containers have earlier collaborated for the development of several convenience food projects.
Global design and engineering company, RPC is engaged in polymer conversion in packaging and non-packaging markets. It employs more than 21,000 people.
