German firm RKW is set to showcase a range of film and nonwoven solutions for hygiene, medical and industrial applications at this year’s Index show in Geneva, Switzerland.
The company will present its new textile backsheet called Hyfol PE soft textile, as well as RKW HyJet and HyBond nonwovens at the event.
RKW’s backsheets and topsheets will be used in various applications of the personal care industry, while films and laminate in the applications of the medical and surgical market.
The nonwoven-based products are used in the different industrial applications.
The company is producing backsheet films for use in disposable baby diapers, and film solutions for the feminine hygiene market.
It produces different solutions under RKW Hyfol and Hycare brands for the absorbent hygiene products sector.
Hyfol Soft textile has been developed as an alternative to the traditional backsheets used in the adult incontinence market.
Under medical films and laminates, the company will exhibit Medicace range for single-use surgical textiles, Medifol for woundcare products and Aptra breathable films for technical applications.
RKW hygiene and industrial’s sales and business development vice president Klaus Hering said: “The Index exhibition is the perfect platform to meet with current and future business partners in the world of nonwovens.

Based in Frankenthal, RKW produces hygiene and agricultural films, films for the beverage industry and packaging for powdery goods.
RKW runs seven facilities that produce different hygiene films, and two plants that manufacture a range of polyolefin-based nonwovens.
