Ravenwood Packaging is planning to exhibit its new VXR technology, as well as linerless applicators from the Nobac 500 machine range at the Foodex 2018 event.
At the event, which is scheduled to be held in from 16-18 April at the NEC Birmingham, England, Ravenwood will showcase its VXR system, which features vision, x-ray and seal check technology designed for food industry.
The VXR system is capable of identifying and rejecting food trays that are seen to contain errors.
Ravenwood said it will link the VXR to a Nobac 500 linerless sleever for showcasing errorless linerless labels coupled with unrivalled quality control.
The firm will also display its two linerless applicators from the Nobac 500 machine range including the 500R ready meal linerless sleever, which is designed to apply ready meal sleeves at a rate of 65 packs per minute ranging from 100mm to 225mm in width.
Additionally, the firm’s Slideable range, which is intended for straight-to-oven ready meals and other produce, will also be showcased at the event.
The linerless label, Slideable is printed onto thicker materials – up to 300gsm – and up to 500mm x 125mm and slides like a cardboard sleeve. This allows customers to view the product inside the pack.
Ravenwood said: “Linerless is the eco-friendly replacement for traditional labels that carry non-recyclable wasteful backing paper.”
