US-based Plastic Suppliers (PSI) has unveiled plans to enhance its operational footprint, in a bid to strengthen its existing business in core markets.
As part of the footprint optimization, the company will close the facilities located in Dallas of Texas and Fullerton of California and centralize the operations at its Columbus headquarter location of Ohio.
Columbus facility will continue to produce a range of specialty packaging and industrial films for PSI’s North American customers, comprising manufactured, converted and distributed product lines.
The company will also upgrade and expand Columbus facility, as well as manufacturing facility in Ghent of Belgium to expand production operations.
PSI president and CEO George Thomas said: "Business decisions impacting the livelihood of our employees are extremely difficult.
"This move reflects a disciplined effort to enhance operational efficiencies and directly supports our sustainable growth activities.
“PSI has an increasing business need to better align our assets with marketplace trends and customer demand.”
