Etipress Etiquetas Autoadheribles, a printing company specialized in self-adhesive and security labels, has installed a Mark Andy Performance Series P5 press to boost its production capacity.
Etipress has opted for the Mark Andy flexo printing technology in order to produce quality products at competitive prices while meeting delivery deadlines.
The company selected Performance Series P5 press featuring ProLED system to deliver more efficient and environmentally-friendly curing solution over traditional UV curing.
The machine has been designed to accommodate rapid changeovers and reduce material waste.
Etipress Etiquetas Autoadheribles general manager Juan Carlos Arroyave said: “In order to reduce waste, we needed to switch to an ink system that would give us more stability during printing.
“We decided to go with ProLED instead of traditional UV because it’s a sustainable, more efficient technology. We’re betting on innovation and striving to be one step ahead.”
Mark Andy noted that its press which addressed Etipress’ issues including loss of business due to productivity issues and the need to stay cost competitive in the market.
Etipress earlier used two legacy presses, which required an upgrade to meet the increasing demand for pharmaceutical and food labeling sectors in Mexico.
The firm was seeking for a new printing machine with higher productivity and which could produce similar output results as their existing legacy printing units.
Following commissioning of the new Mark Andy press, Etipress has reported reduced maintenance, improved noise control on the plant floor, and saving of cost and waste, Mark said.
The choice was clear for Etipress- time savings, productivity, and ProLED technology simplified the company’s decision making process while guaranteeing a profitable future.
Etipress is planning to expand into the prime label market, printing jobs to serve food and beverage industry as well as the wine and spirits industry.
