New EFI Fiery Integration with Kodak PRINERGY Workflow 8 extends customer capability

Electronics For Imaging (EFI) said the integration between the new Kodak PRINERGY Workflow 8 platform and its Fiery digital front end (DFE) platform is expanding customer capability.

With the extended capabilities between Fiery DFEs and PRINERGY Workflow 8.1, print business owners gain the best of digital and conventional presses, enablin them to make decisions in real time for the most cost efficient production scenarios.

The profitability and productivity of the printing businesses and in-plant graphics departments will be increased by the integration of PRINERGY Workflow platform with EFI MIS/ERP software products.

The HyperRIP technology of EFI, which will process files up to 55% faster when compared to Fiery DFE without the HyperRIP feature, will deliver fast processing speeds to the users.

The integration of Fiery DFE with PRINERGY Workflow 8.1 offers flexibility, capabilities and bidirectional communication. The integration with EFI productivity products portfolio enable automated management of estimating, scheduling, job ticketing and accounting.
