Michelman to exhibit DigiPrime 4453 press primer at Xeikon Café event in Belgium

Michelman is set to showcase DigiPrime 4453 water-based digital press primer at the Xeikon Café show in Belgium.

The event will take place from 27 to 31 March at Xeikon’s Lier facility in Lier, Antwerp.

Developed for use on Xeikon digital presses, the DigiPrime 4453 helps to promote better ink adhesion on most IML films and improve rub resistance.

It is also Xeikon-approved for use with Xeikon dry toners such as QA-I, ICE and Cheetah, which operate on Xeikon 3000 Series and Xeikon CX3 presses.

DigiPrime 4453 can be used in difficult applications such as in-mold label printing. It secured approval for food contact in both Europe and the USA with few restrictions based on end-use.

DigiPrime 4453 can also be used as total solution for food and beverage applications in combination with Xeikon presses, which will be showcased at the event.

Michelman printing and packaging group industry manager Jan Denies said: “Events like Xeikon Café are an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges label and packaging printers face.

“We will be listening particularly to the printers in attendance, to better understand their needs as they transition to digital printing solutions.”

Michelman develops and produces solutions for the coatings, printing and packaging and industrial manufacturing markets.

The firm’s surface additives and polymeric binders can be used in different applications such as wood and floor care products, metal and industrial coatings, paints, varnishes, inks, fibers and composites.

Its barrier and functional coatings and digital printing press primers can be used in to produce consumer and industrial packaging and paper products, labels, and commercially printed materials.
