Michelman exhibits DigiPrime and DigiGuard products at LabelExpo Europe 2017

Michelman is showcasing its DigiPrime and DigiGuard products at this year’s LabelExpo Europe event in Belgium.

The event is being held from 25 to 28 September in Brussels.

At the event, the company is exhibiting DigiPrime 022 and DigiGuard 222 products, which are developed in collaboration with HP Indigo to be used in label applications.

DigiPrime 022 is a new water-based primer developed to be used with the the HP Indigo 6000 digital press series.

The new DigiGuard 222 UV curable overprint varnishes (OPV) are available in matte and glossy versions.

These varnishes can be used with DigiPrime 022 to produce labels with enhanced water, thermal and chemical resistance.

DigiGuard 901 OPV strengthener can be used by press owners to continue using their current UV curable OPVs that were validated by HP. When used with DigiPrime 022, the additive will allow OPVs to achieve the required performance levels.

Michelman’s new product portfolio allows HP Indigo press owners to enter into new market segments such as personal care, household chemicals and other demanding applications.

The company is planning to commercially market the new products in the first quarter of 2018.

Michelman produces various solutions for the customers in the coatings, printing and packaging and industrial manufacturing markets.

The firm’s surface additives and polymeric binders are used in applications, including wood and floor care products, metal and industrial coatings, paints, varnishes, inks, fibers and composites.

Its barrier and functional coatings, as well as digital printing press primers are used to produce consumer and industrial packaging and paper products, labels, and commercially printed materials.
