As part of the PackageLab concept, Metsä Board will offer inspiration and ideas to show the the innovative use of materials and design.
In addition, the firm will present its Arilyn-app, which features latest augmented reality (AR) technology.
Metsä Board produces premium fresh fibre paperboards such as folding boxboards, food service boards and white kraftliners.
The firm’s lightweight paperboards are suitable for consumer goods, as well as retail-ready and food service applications.
In March 2017, Metsä Board introduced a new aperboard cup design concept, known as Lidloc, which eliminates the use of separate lid.
The patented design is based upon an extension to a standard cup structure that folds and locks into an integrated lid.
In addition to eliminating the use of a separate plastic lid, the packaging design offers a new insight into the production, consumption and recycling of paperboard cups.
