Medicine-On-Time acquires Manrex’s blister card manufacturing assets

Medicine-On-Time has acquired blister card manufacturing assets from Canada-based Manrex for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition will provide an additional capability to Medicine-On-Time's new manufacturing facility outside Tampa of Florida, and expand the firm’s business into Canada and other markets.

Manrex will continue to distribute a full line of medication management products to its customers, including the products produced by Medicine-On-Time.

In addition, Manrex will supply the core Medicine-On-Time multi-dose color coded blister card system in Canada.

Medicine-On-Time co-chairman and CEO Guy Bryant said: "This transaction, and the new ongoing relationship with Manrex, LTD is a very positive step for Medicine-On-Time, extending our geographic reach, and also allowing us to expand our product line of medication adherence products in the US.

Manrex sales and marketing vice president John Webster said: "We are pleased with this alliance as Manrex will have a more complete medication management offering with the inclusion of the best in class Medicine-On-Time multi-dose blister pack program with tear away dose cups.

“Furthermore, Manrex customers will continue to receive the medication management products they've grown to depend on from the familiar team here at Manrex.”

Medicine-On-Time offers medication synchronization and multi-dose pharmaceutical packaging software solutions, as well as color-coded calendar cards for compliance packaging.

Manrex provides medication packaging, distribution and adherence systems for community, acute and long-term care settings.

The company’s product portfolio includes medication carts and pill crushers and pharmacy automation solutions.

In addition, the company offers a portfolio of technology based applications for end users in the community.
