US-based Mac Papers has introduced Highlander coated covers for packaging and high-end graphics applications.
The new product line consists of Highlander High Yield C1S coated cover and Highlander C2S coated cover,.
Highlander High Yield C1S coated cover provides reduced basis weights in the industry, saving upfront costs and freight.
The Highlander C2S coated cover, which is produced without optical brighteners, features advanced two-sided print techniques.
The new products provide equal brightness in all calipers, and also deliver continuity of shade and printability.
Printed Packaging and Paperboard director of sales Graham Riley said: “Mac Papers’ introduction of Highlander coated cover is closely aligned with our commitment to help commercial print customers successfully compete in the growing printed packaging and folding carton markets.
“Highlander High Yield offers a significant cost savings advantage and both products have FDA direct food contact approval, further broadening the range of applications to the food industry.”
