German aerosol packaging solutions provider Lindal Group is building a new 100,000 ft² production facility in Columbus, Indiana, US.
The company purchased 15 acres of land to build the expandable facility, which forms part of its overall $20m investment in the US market.
Lindal will also use the investment to purchase new equipment for increasing the production capacity of aerosol product portfolio.
Expected to complete by the end of 2017, the expandable facility will allow Lindal to serve more customers in the US market.
The new facility will feature production and warehousing space, offices and laboratories.
Lindal has selected Indianapolis-based The Peterson Company to develop the new aerosol production facility.
Lindal Group global marketing director Philip Brand said: “Our new Columbus facility is another example of our strength as a customer-facing organization that speeds package development and delivers unsurpassed aerosol knowledge.
“It’s all part of our quest to help our customers meet their goals and anticipate tomorrow’s market needs.”
Lindal is engaged in the development and manufacturing of valves, actuators and spray caps for aerosol products used in cosmetics, household, pharmaceuticals, food and technical industries.
The company has global innovation center in Briey of France, which supports customers to develop new generation packaging solutions.
Managed by Hervé Bodet, the center includes five departments such as development and engineering, central laboratory, technical and market watch, tool room and industrialization department.
