Marijuana packaging company Kush Bottles has acquired distribution firm Dank Bottles to gain synergies in logistics in the US.

Kush Bottles manufactures child-resistant and customized bottles, containers, and cannabis-related products for adult-use and medical marijuana in the US and Canada.

Dank has been Kush’s exclusive distributor in the state of Colorado for the last one year.

Kush Bottles president Ben Wu said: "We are now the only cannabis packaging company with full service distribution centers in the three largest marijuana markets: California, Colorado and Washington.

"Our newly acquired Denver distribution center will no longer be limited to serving Colorado, but will be able to provide expedited servicing to states throughout the Midwest and East of the Mississippi.

"This gives us a tremendous advantage, as shipping costs and delivery times will go down for many of our customers in the Midwest and Eastern United States."

Dank founders Greg Gamet, Justin Jones and Bryan Sullivan will continue to be associated with Colorado operations and will also be responsible for countrywide business development activities.

Kush Bottles co-founder and CEO Nicholas Kovacevich said: "Through this acquisition, we are able to fully integrate the Dank Bottles team and resources into our company, including their warehouse and extensive distribution network."

Founded in 2010 as an international pharmaceutical bottle distributor, Kush is one of the largest wholesale distributors of child safe, medical grade containers in the US.

The company claims to make its bottles with FDA-approved materials, and its child resistant design is in accordance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission standards.
