Krones buys process system integrator Javlyn

Packaging and bottling systems manufacturer Krones has acquired US-based firm Javlyn to expand its process integration capabilities.

Based in Rochester of New York state, Javlyn, produces automated processing systems for the food, beverage, dairy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

The company is specialized in manufacturing of automated food, dairy, and beverage process systems.

The acquired business will be integrated into Krones' machines and lines for beverage production/process technology segment.

Javlyn provides process solutions for prepared foods such as bakery items, desserts, dressings, dry mix, liquid egg processes and others.

The company will offer process technology for beverage products such as coffee, coolada mixes, juice extraction, juice concentration, juice blending, wine, beer and others.

Javlyn processing systems can be used for dairy products such as fluid milk, cheese and ice cream.

They can also be used for chemical products such as emulsions, plastics and toners, as well as pharmaceutical products such as batch and blend systems, DI water wystems, cough syrups and others.

Krones president and CEO Holger Beckmann said: “Javlyn's experience and know-how in the field of process technology is very synergetic to Krones, and its customer base is a great fit for us.

“With this complementary acquisition, we further strengthen our regional value proposition for our North American customers.”

Javlyn founding partner Ron Bielinis said: “My business partner Victor Tifone and I, along with the rest of the Javlyn team, are looking forward to being part of the local customer focused strategy of such a well-respected global organization.”

Krones produces fully integrated packaging and bottling line systems, in addition to integrated brew house and processing systems, IT solutions and warehouse logistics systems.
