Industrial Container Services buys Next Day Container

US-based Industrial Container Services (ICS) has purchased the intermediate bulk container (IBC) reconditioning and recycling operations of Next Day Container (NDC) for an undisclosed sum.

Under the deal, ICS has acquired all the machinery, equipment and inventory at Next Day’s Delphi facility in Indiana. The acquired business will run as an operating entity of ICS.

Established in 2000, NDC is engaged in the recycling of totes. The company reconditions all types of totes, and its services include tote pickup, reconditioning, and delivery.

NDC also markets reconditioned, rebottled, and EPA AG compliant totes.

The company provides steel or poly pallet recycled totes with 275 or 330 gallon capacity, as well as steel or poly pallet rebottled totes with 275 or 330 gallon capacity.

ICS president and CEO Charles Veniez said: “The acquisition of Next Day Container is a big step forward for our fast-growing IBC platform.

“Their central location and brand-new high-speed production line, combined with the full ICS product and service portfolio, will provide great opportunities for our customers while opening up new markets for ICS.”

Next Day Container president and CEO Ken Mushen said: “Speaking for the owners and employees of Next Day Container, we are all excited to announce the merger of our IBC business into the ICS group of companies.”

In December 2017, ICS purchased the steel drum reconditioning and container distribution business of Dayton Industrial Drum for an undisclosed sum.

The deal included the acquisition of Dayton’s machinery, equipment and inventory, which can be used at different ICS locations.

Dayton Industrial Drum provides a range of industrial packaging and container products for various applications.

With over 50 facilities in 21 US states and six Canadian provinces, ICS provides reusable container solutions to the customers in North America.

The company offers container management services, comprising reconditioning, manufacturing, distribution, used container collection and recycling services for major industrial packages.
