Improved digital print quality on synthetic substrates

Michem In-Line Primer (ILP) 040 has been formulated by Michelman specifically for use on synthetic substrates printed on the HP Indigo WS6000 and WS6600 digital presses. It is HP-recommended and is said to produces a print-receptive surface that improves ink transfer and adhesion of HP Indigo Electroinks.

Both the WS6000 and WS6600 presses have an inline priming station that allows users to prime and print substrates in a single pass. This unit will apply the right amount of ILP 040 primer, optimising ink adhesion and press performance, and producing high quality printed output, it is claimed.

The new primer complements Michelman’s Michem ILP 030 primer formulated for paper substrates, Michem Clean 1188 cleaning solution and Michem Indicator 001, which is used to detect the presence of primer on dry coated substrates.
