Corrugate creasing matrix from C&T Matrix is said to be "a revolution in the creasing of corrugated board".
Developed to help eliminate costly cracking, registration, runnability and adhesion problems normally associated with creasing corrugated board, Corrugate is said to reduce the problem of knuckling, by creating a holding form in which to crease. The result is "a more accurate and better defined crease and improved overall appearance", according to C&T.
Corrugate also has a much wider base than traditional products, which is said to ensure very strong adhesion to the plate, reducing movement of the matrix, poor registration and even failure to crease. In addition, it eliminates parallel marks known as ‘witness marks’, which can be unsightly and even weaken the board.
With Corrugate, the improved edge on the creasing matrix and shallower angle of the chamfer is said to help to overcome problems such as runnability of the board and blocking in the machine caused by folding thicker boards.
