Organisers of ICE 2009, the international biennial trade fair for the converting of flexible materials, have reported a surge of interest in the show with over 220 exhibitors including 25 first time exhibitors already signed up for the show. ICE 2009 will be organised at Munich’s M.O.C. exhibition centre from November 24-26, 2009.
The first time exhibitors include the German flexible packaging giant, Windmöller & Hölscher. “ICE is one of the most interesting and promising trade fairs in the converting and flexibles field,” explains Windmöller & Hölscher marketing and business development manager Dr Christof Herschbach. “We expect to meet large numbers of qualified visitors at ICE 2009, especially from Southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland.”
“We aren’t surprised that ICE is getting this recognition,” exhibition director Michael Boyle says. “ICE removes the need for both converting suppliers and visitors to attend large unfocused shows where the visitor has a long trek around many halls to source the suppliers and information he needs.
“The strength of ICE is that it can deliver this audience in one location and in three days converting suppliers often do more business than they would at much longer events.”
Another factor in the growth of the show, adds ICE sales director Franz Hermann, is the amount of machinery that will be on display. “The average size booth has grown from 25m² to 30m² and we have now already sold more space for ICE 2009 than we did for ICE 2007. In the fourth and final hall at the M.O.C. centre in Munich we only have around 60 stands left to sell before we can call the show sold out.”
ICE is owned and organised by nimble shows & media GmbH.
