Norwegian brewer Hansa Borg has become one of Europe’s first companies to go to market with Rexam’s new aluminium SLEEK can, for its Hansa Chill and Hansa premium beer brands.
The 330ml SLEEK can uses the same end as the standard can but is smaller and more slender in diameter. Rexam says it “gives a completely new look” to any product; the shape “looks fresh and modern, with more shelf impact, and its sleek lines make it easier for consumers to handle”.
Hansa’s Lisbeth Frugard says: “We aim to lead the Norwegian beer market in innovation and the SLEEK can helps us achieve this. As a challenger in the market it’s important for us to make the first move when it come to product development. The can’s neat, slim look has proved a great success with consumers and we expect it to boost our market share.”
