ETPA Packaging, a Greece-based label printer, has installed a Gallus ECS 340 machine at its production site in Komotini, North Eastern Greece.
Established in 1983, the Greek label printer is focused supplying self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves and flexible materials for its customers.
The investment in the Gallus ECS 340 machine is a part of the firm’s plans to broaden its spectrum and offer expand offering to its customers.
Featuring nine flexo printing stations and four screen printing modules, the machine is equipped with a cold foil unit as well as the possibility of backside printing on glue, UV Lamination for monofoil material and PS Lamination.
Since the installation of the Gallus ECS 340 press in March 2017, ETPA Packaging has been running jobs for labels, sleeves and sachets, Gallus said.
Gallus Group said that ETPA Packaging sales director George Ekonomou was particularly convinced of the machine because “it offers us incomparable flexibility, especially when printing silk screen jobs.”
Ekonomou said: “This is the first Gallus we bought, but we are more than happy to have invested in a Swiss quality product. The machine’s versatility is astonishing and the labels, the most important factor, of course, are of impressive quality.”
Gallus said it has sold more than 450 machines to worldwide customers in the label printing sector.
The Gallus ECS 340 press is designed to produce complex die-cuts at maximum speed and capable of printing on almost any kind of substrate including paper, PE, PP and even tube laminate.
Additionally, the Gallus ECS 340 machine offers even better performance with a new UV flexographic printing unit.
With production sites in Switzerland and Germany, Gallus Group is engaged in the development, production and sale of narrow-web, reel-fed presses designed for label manufacturers.
A member of the Heidelberg Group, Gallus Group employs around 430 people and is based in Switzerland.
