Golden West Packaging has acquired four independent Northern California packaging firms and their co-owned sheet feeder plant for an undisclosed sum.
The company acquired Heritage Solutions, Capital Corrugated, PackageOne, Packaging Innovators Corporation and their co-owned captive sheet feeder, Cal Sheets.
The deal will create a West Coast mill-independent system, which offers custom packaging solutions for customers in the wine, food, produce and e-commerce markets.
The combined company provides custom packaging products, folding cartons and display solutions for the customers.
It will also include expanded production capabilities, featuring structural and graphic design, value-added converting, flexographic printing and lithographic lamination.
In addition, the combined firm will offer storage, fulfillment, distribution, packaging supplies, and equipment design and build services.
Capital Corrugated operates facility for packaging, folding carton and lithographic lamination, while Heritage Solutions runs facility for flexography and digital production.
Packaging Innovators operated facility for high end graphics packaging, PackageOne operates two packaging facilities and Cal Sheets runs corrugated facility.
Golden West Packaging CEO Steve Strickland said: “These transactions give Golden West Packaging annual revenue of more than $250m generated from a portfolio of well-invested assets that includes $35m in advanced equipment upgrades over the last three years.
