Elanders has agreed to acquire 80% stake in the Hong Kong-based firm Asiapack, in a bid to expand its operations in the region.
Asiapack is engaged in the designing, printing and manufacturing of packaging solutions for its customers.
The company is specialized in added-value services such as product configuration, consolidation and fulfillment.
The acquired business will complement Elanders’ existing operations, Mentor Media, in Asia.

Asiapack, which also has a subsidiary in Shenzhen, will be included in the supply chain solutions segment of Elanders.
With own facility in Shenzhen export processing zone, the company offers co-packing services for the customers in the country.
The company will design the pack as per the customer’s distribution parameters, as well as manages the whole printing process.
Asiapack also creates kits by assembling products from different suppliers, as well as from different customers.
In July, Elanders agreed to acquire UK-based Spreckley, which provides pecialized and customised packaging, point of sale material and labels for the customers in the British market.
For the print and packaging industry, Elanders offers card board and flute boxes, hard and luxury boxes, as well as design and construction and personalized packaging services.
