Direct-to-pack system gains German entry

Heinrich Baumann Grafisches Centrum is to market, sell, support and service the Highcon Euclid digital cutting and creasing system in Germany.

Christian Baumann, owner of Heinrich Baumann Grafisches Centrum, says: “The concept from Highcon for a Direct-to-Pack finishing solution is amazing. It will create new opportunities for our customers, make short runs profitable and will change the industry.”

Highcon International sales director Nigel Tracey adds: “We are excited about introducing the Euclid into the German market, which is known for its appreciation of advanced technologies. We believe the Highcon Direct-to-Pack digital finishing solution will be very well received by folding carton converters here.”

Israeli company Highcon launched the Euclid at Drupa 2012, heralding it as “the world’s first high speed digital converting machine”. Its patent-pending technology, with no requirement for a die, and job changeovers measured in minutes rather than hours, is claimed to “change the business model for folding carton converters radically”.
