DGPS acquires former Drent Goebel premises

DG Press Services (DGPS) is now the official owner of the former Drent Goebel premises in Eerbeek, The Netherlands.

DGPS was founded in 2009 by two former employees as a modest service provider for the installed Drent and Drent Goebel machine base. Says director Peter Kloppers: “Without the necessity of selling and producing an amount of printing presses, we could further focus on delivering service solutions, developing the existing presses and offer innovative upgrades, modifications and extensions.”

He says this shift in mentality was well received by the Drent Goebel customers, as reflected by the impressive growth DGPS has undergone. “We started with 12 ex-Drent Goebel employees. Now we employ almost 30 Drent specialists.”

The 7,000m² site in Eerbeek, of which 5,500m² is production and office space, will further facilitate the company’s growth. Although the main focus will remain on service and customer support, its capability for building new presses such as the recently developed Vision SP will be increased with the extended factory.

DG Press Services plans to move into the newly acquired premises on 1 January 2013, following “drastic renovation”.
