UK-based dairy products firm Dairy Crest has developed new summer packaging for its Cathedral City Sliced range.
The Cathedral City Sliced range with new refreshed packaging is available in 150g packs containing eight slices.
Excluding price-marked packs, the new pack designs are available across the grocery trade through to end August.
The company is selling the new range at a price of MRSP£2.00.
According to Dairy Crest, the new pack & SRP designs across Cathedral City Mature Slices and Mature Lighter Slices will drive shoppers to turn to picnics and barbeques.
Cathedral City marketing controller Jo Huergo said: “As the weather heats up our national drive to get outside and enjoy the sun with family and friends sees many seeking meal inspiration for their outdoor gatherings.
“Our new packs aim to remind shoppers that it’s not a sandwich or burger without the deliciously smooth and mellow taste of Cathedral City Cheddar.
“Picnic & barbeque occasions are on the rise in the UK, with the average UK family now picnicking at least three times a year and households owning a barbeque firing it up on average nine times over the Summer months.”
Dairy Crest produces brands, including Cathedral City Cheddar cheese, Country Life butter, Utterly Butterly, Vitalite and Clover.
The company’s product portfolio is comprised of various types of butters, spreads and oils. It also produces different types of cheese products and functional ingredients.
