Haifa-based Copy Center is using Stora Enso’s Cupforma Dairy 2PE board to deliver dessert packaging cups to Israel-based dairy Tnuva.
Copy Center is focusing more on using renewable materials in packaging.
Tnuva is using new paperboard cups for the Yolo brand, which has various chocolate puddings.
The lids used for Yolo are also produced by using paperboard, while the flat rim of the cup is another advancement of the design.
Tnuva is gradually increasing its order quantities for the new cups, as part of its efforts to replace plastic products with paperboard cups.
Copy Center has also invested in advanced production, design and service capabilities to meet the growing demand from food companies.
Copy Center CEO Uri Drori said: “Tnuva had asked us to create a totally new packaging concept for Yolo, aiming to become the leading dessert brand. Paperboard stands out as a modern option for dairy packaging, and it has environmental benefits over plastic.
“The look and feel of paperboard give a high-end impression, especially with sophisticated finishing effects such as the embossing and foil that we see in the cups for Yolo. The introduction was highly successful and exceeded everyone’s expectations.”
