Colourful Harlands labels adorn “unusually flavoured” beers

Two new “specialist” beers from Scottish microbrewery Williams Brothers feature UV flexo printed labels from Harlands Labels.

Following the two companies’ successful partnership last year for the launch of Williams Brothers’ Roisin Fruit Beer, Harlands has this time supplied labels printed in up to six spot colours plus varnish for the brewer’s new Joker and Grozet beers. The labels reflect the ales’ unusual flavours – Grozet is described as a lager malt with wheat, bog myrtles, hops and meadowsweet fermented with ripe gooseberries, while Joker is “a medium-bodied, copper-coloured ale with a mix of spice and fruits”.

Both the beers are stocked in Scottish Tesco stores, with Grozet also sold in Oddbins; additionally Harlands reports “a great deal of interest” from the major multiples.
