Australian brewing firm Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) has unveiled new packaging for Carlton Dry stubbies, which will now be fitted with easy-to-use ring pull caps rather than twist tops.
Carlton & United Breweries (CUB), which is an AB InBev firm, has also redesigned the entire stubby to bring new look for Carlton Dry stubby.
The bottle size of the new ring pull stubby has been reduced from 355 ml to 330 ml to make it as an affordable beer on the market and also due to rise of brewing costs and government beer excise fees.
Carlton Dry Lime stubbies will be marketed in new packaging by the end of this year.
Carlton Dry spokesman Hayden Turner said:“In an increasingly complex world of political turmoil, financial uncertainty and coffee-infused beer with cinnamon tasting notes, people are crying out for the simple things.
“So we looked at ways to make our product even more straight-forward and ring-pull caps were the simple answer.
“Australia’s most refreshing and reliable beer is now even more uncomplicated.”
Recently, Carlton & United Breweries has also introduced limited-edition West Coast cans in Western Australia, to celebrate Eagles’ 2018 success.
According to CAB, the cans mark the Eagles’ Grand Final victory and are a collector’s item befitting the five-point win.
The cans, which are decked out in the club’s blue and gold, include Carlton Mid featuring crucial match details including the final score along with the club song.
CUB’s WA regional sales director Danny Savage said: “We’re delighted to deliver this fitting tribute to what was an absolutely legendary performance by the boys.
“Carlton Mid is an especially popular beer in WA, which is why we’ve chosen it as the commemorative brew.”
CUB’s beer portfolio is comprised of Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Great Northern, Pure Blonde, Carlton Dry, Melbourne Bitter, Crown Lager, Cascade Premium Light and the Yak Ales.
The firm’s brands include Corona, Budweiser, Stella Artois, Beck’s, Hoegaarden, Leffe, 4 Pines and Pirate Life.
