BST eltromat has purchased a stake in Nyquist Systems, strengthening their relationship through an existing sales cooperation.
After four years of intensive sales cooperation, BST eltromat International has acquired a stake in Nyquist Systems GmbH, which is based in Landsberg. The inspection systems in Nyquist Systems' TubeScan family complement BST eltromat's comprehensive product portfolio for quality assurance in packaging and label printing. These products – distributed exclusively by BST eltromat – fit perfectly into BST eltromat's existing offering for narrow-web printing processes. This also applies to the new QLink workflow, which is opening up previously unknown options in synchronization, data handling and defect editing.
"Our strategic partnership, which has a long term orientation, is pursuing the aim of promoting the continued success of the TubeScan family developed and produced by Nyquist, and thus to assure our joint market leadership," explains Kristian Jünke, Managing Director of BST eltromat International. Previously, the companies have collaborated to install more than 800 TubeScan systems for the narrow-web label and packaging sector worldwide. Siegfried Koepp, executive at elexis AG, continues: "I am happy that we, as the parent company, were able to support BST eltromat in taking this important step in the cooperation with Nyquist Systems. The systems in the TubeScan family complete BST eltromat's portfolio perfectly."
"The close collaborative partnership with BST eltromat as part of its new stake and the exclusive sales agreement offers Nyquist Systems a strong global presence and the ability to implement projects quickly for customers all over the world." According to Dr. Stephan Krebs, Managing Director of Nyquist Systems GmbH, this is the central benefit of the strategic partnership with BST eltromat to his company. The joint appearance at last year's LABELEXPO, for example, offered both companies more and varied opportunities to continue to build on their already strong position within the market for narrow-web applications.
"On the wide-web market, we have long been known as a supplier of a comprehensive solution portfolio for quality assurance in all print methods, ranging from web guiding and register control systems and various entry-level video technologies for web monitoring up to and including the high-end quality assurance systems of our iPQ-Center. With the addition of the TubeScan family and the related breadth of the product range and the specialist expertise, we are able to assume a similar position on the narrow-web market. This means that we cover almost all requirements of label printing and narrow-web packaging printing," This is how Hans-Peter Stockkamp, Global Sales Director at BST eltromat, underlines the importance of the partnership from his point of view.
Nyquist Systems, which was founded in 2004, represents innovative, customer-specific solutions for 100% image monitoring of roll-to-roll materials, as well as printing control with integrated web monitoring, lighting technologies for special applications and networking of inspection components via workflow.
