Bespoke Envelopes Direct, which bought the overprinting specialist Bespoke Envelopes from Direct Envelopes UK, has announced a range of environmentally friendly envelope products, Ecolope produced from environmentally friendly materials, but the concept also includes monitoring the production and post-production process.
Nigel Harper, managing director for the Sidcup company, says: “Post-production we can offer greener packaging solutions for this range of products, and can even deliver them in our dual fuel trucks.”
The substrates for the envelopes include a choice of papers made from post-consumer recycled waste paper and environmentally friendly papers, which carry accreditations such as FSC, PEFC or the EU flower. Environmentally friendly window film and adhesives of a biodegradable formulation, water based inks for flexo vegetable oil based inks for overprinting are also available.
“We believe that print buyers and more especially envelope buyers will see a significant benefit in being able to use envelopes that have minimal impact on the environment,” Nigel Harper says.
