US-based can manufacturing machinery provider Belvac Production Machinery has purchased The Netherlands-based Rosario Can Technology for an undisclosed amount.
Rosario is engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of decorators, base coating machinery and associated replacement parts for the production of beverage, food and aerosol cans.
Belvac expects the acquisition to provide a differentiated solution to its can making customers.
Belvac president Richard Steigerwald said: "Rosario's innovation and service reputation in can decoration adds a critical component to Belvac's existing capabilities in metal can forming and inspection.
The acquisition also allows Belvac to offer well-capitalized decorator and base coater choice for can manufacturers worldwide.

Rosario also provides services and equipment rebuilder focused on continually improving previously installed can decorator machines.

Belvac is engaged in design and production of continuous motion rotary machinery for beverage, food and aerosol can manufacturers.
The firm offers high-speed cupping systems, can forming, decorating, trimming, necking, base reprofiling and reforming, shaping, bottom rim coating, flanging and inspection technology.
