August Faller develops tamper evident label for pharma products

August Faller has developed a new booklet label, which combines tamper-protection and drug information.

The Team-Label (tamperevident and multi-page) combines a seal with a multi-page adhesive label.

From February 2019, all medicines marketed in the European Union have to integrate a unique identifier and an antitamper device.

The Team-Label offers access to important information from the standard package leaflet on the outside of the package through multi-page adhesive label.

It will help doctors, pharmacists and patients to access information without opening the carton, helping to avoid the removing of seal.

The new tamper-evident and multi-page label is said to aggregate up to 32-page booklet label and includes a tamper-evident seal.

Booklet label will include large amounts of information and prevents product manipulation.

The new label is suitable for folding carton designs with an auto-lock bottom or a tamper-evident seal with a flap adhered to one side. It can also be used for round containers such as bottles, jars or cans.

The company also produces a laminate-free, paper-only version of the Team-Label for eco-conscious businesses.

Faller’s new solution can be applied through using any standard labelling equipment. It will also fulfill multilingual labelling needs through increasing the surface area of the multi-page adhesive label.

The company produces tamper-evident labels for all standard carton sizes, and can be printed in six colors front and back.

The label can also be hot stamped to produce a required design to the point of sale. Faller is also providing a unique identifier to the label that needs a high level of expertise.

Earlier this month, August Faller announced that it will showcase its smart packaging solutions at Pharmapack event in Paris, France.

At the event, the company will exhibit three smart packaging prototypes and Elisa Kit box for packaging different kit components.
