Ardagh Group, Glass – North America, a division of Ardagh Group and the glass supplier to the US wine market, has launched an expansion to its BOB site (BuyOurBottles.com) for wineries to purchase glass wine bottles direct via the online store.
The launch of the BOB site for wine (wine.buyourbottles.com) reflects the growing demand for wine. Wine sales were estimated to reach $63 billion in 2017, a 26 percent increase since 2011, according to a report released by market researcher Mintel.
"The BOB site for wine is the first and only website where vintners can buy glass wine bottles by the pallet, made in the U.S., direct from the manufacturer, with a credit card or PayPal account," said Alex Robertson, Chief Commercial Officer for Ardagh Group's North American Glass division.
The BOB site for wine offers six different wine bottles made 100 percent in the U.S., including:
(2) Two 750ml Burgundy wine bottles in antique green glass;
(2) Two 750ml Claret wine bottles in antique green glass;
(1) One 750ml Hock wine bottle in antique green glass; and
(1) One 750ml Claret wine bottle in flint (clear) glass.
In 2012, Ardagh Group launched BOB for beer – the first website for direct, online purchase of beer bottles by the pallet. In June 2017, Ardagh Group launched the first direct, online source for specialty food producers – BOB for food.
"We are proud to offer wineries the high level of attention, responsiveness and ease that comes with buying directly from Ardagh Group and its BOB site," said Robertson.
Ardagh Group is dedicated to the wine market with capabilities and resources to grow with customers every step of the way.
For more than 125 years, Ardagh Group has been producing innovative glass bottles in the U.S. As the only glass wine bottle manufacturer to produce all of its wine bottles in the U.S., Ardagh Group, Glass – North America offers a wide selection of premium wine bottles in a variety of colors, sizes, styles and finishes.
