Packaging solutions provider Ardagh has designed a new glass bottle for Accolade Wines’ Summer Berries Vodka.
Ardagh’s team from Knottingley of West Yorkshire has developed a sleek shaped 70cl bottle for the vodka by observing designs of different wine and vodka bottles.
With a weight of 380g, the new sleek bottle is said to support Accolade’s sustainability and environmental values.
Accolade Wines procurement head Claire Gittins said: “This is the most unique bottle that Accolade Wines have ever launched, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Ardagh totally understood our brief and timelines and quickly engaged with their design team to develop a number of options.
“They worked with us closely and adapted designs to meet our key criteria, advising design enhancements for the greatest impact whilst optimising costs and benefits at all times.”
In August this year, Ardagh unveiled a new beverage can finishing that integrates the trending combination of matte and glossy surfaces.
The finishing, dubbed Matte & Mirror Impact, diversifies the company's finishings portfolio.
The new packaging includes a special admixture which can be used on any printable color and gives matte effect on otherwise glossy can surface.
With around 23,500 employees, Ardagh operates 109 glass and metal manufacturing facilities in 22 countries.
The company provides metal packaging solutions for different market sectors such as beverage, food, pet food and seafood.
In addition, Ardagh produces recyclable glass packaging in all shapes and sizes for different brand products.
