Medical imaging equipment manufacturer Ampronix has expanded its medical grade printer line with advanced Sony Printing technology.
Ampronix said it continues to meet the requirements of healthcare professionals by offering high-quality printers that produce rapid delivery of prints in black and white, or color.
The new Sony UP-X898MD hybrid printer has been developed to incorporate with a range of compatible medical imaging environments such as digital ultrasound systems, mobile C-arms, or cardiac catheterization laboratories.
The hybrid printer is said to accept PC-friendly digital USB signal inputs, as well as analog video. Its thermal print engine holds capacity to print still images captured by present advanced systems.
The system features Sony’s Imageport interface, which enables users to store printed images to a connected USB flash drive to transfer to a laptop.
Sony UP-DR80MD/WU is claimed to be the world’s smallest A4 dye sublimation digital video color printer.
The printer generates photo quality prints that comprise of laminating technology. Each print is coated with a protective layer, which is resistant to heat, light, humidity, water, and fingerprints.
The system is comprised of two units, transmitter and receiver. The transmitter plugs into the imaging modality, while the receiver is connected to the printer.
Multiple transmitter/receiver pairs in the same room enable simultaneous use of three user-selectable radio channels.
The device auto links to the closest receiver to emit the better signal without taking support of any local Wi-Fi. The printer will automatically reconnect to the modality, if reflected.
Both printers work with UPA-WU10 wireless print system that enables cable-free connection, helping to replace conventionally wired USB connection between printers and imaging modality.
Equipment is constantly being transferred between locations with limited space for storage in clinical settings such as operating rooms.
Via 10m signal range, the transmitter alone can be inserted into modalities and the printer can be placed somewhere, enabling to create additional space on medical carts.
