Acorn Paper launches new cannabis packaging division in US

Acorn Paper, a US-based supplier of packaging, and janitorial/sanitary products, has launched a new division which will focus on the cannabis and cannabis related products industry.

The new division, which will be branded as Acorn Paper Cannabis Packaging (APCP), will focus on providing the Cannabis industry with paper, packaging, janitorial/sanitation and custom promotional products and services.

Acorn Paper said that the APCP will address the entire cannabis supply chain to growers, manufacturers, distributors and consumer facing retail products.

The firm has appointed Brad Davis as APCP Product Category manager to lead the new division.

Brad Davis, who previously worked as a trailblazing senior sales, marketing and business development executive, will be responsible for managing the daily operations including sales and marketing initiatives with general management responsibilities for the new division.

Acorn CEO and president David Weissberg said: "We recognize the tremendous opportunity that the cannabis industry presents to our company. This will be a $70bn industry in just a few years, and Brad Davis is the perfectly positioned executive to lead our initiatives in the space."

Initially, Acorn Paper Cannabis Packaging will focus on the West Coast. It will then significantly expand its national footprint and e-commerce solutions in the coming year.

Acorn Paper offers a range of stock and custom packaging solutions, including the stock corrugated program in southern California, a cannabis division, a wine packaging division, a janitorial and sanitary program, a creative services department, and among others.

Employing over 350 people, Acorn Paper operates manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Los Angeles, Vacaville, San Luis Obispo, Santa Fe Sprints, and Miami.
